Community Ambassadorship Award to SWE member Angela Berry

Angela Berry, a SWE-Charlotte Metrolina member, was recognized recently at the City of Charlotte Manager’s Awards event. More than 1,000 employees who inspire and leave a lasting impact in the community were nominated for the City Manager’s Awards across six categories. Angela was awarded the Community Ambassadorship Award.

Angela regularly volunteers her time with young people interested in science and engineering. For the past 12 years, Angela has volunteered with the Hornet’s Nest Girl Scout Council to lead an enginering badge for fourth and fifth grade scouts. She creates hands-on activities related to civil, mechanical, electrical and chemical engineering. Congratulations Angela, awesome achievement and well deserved!
